In Agistri there are beautiful natural ports, coves, sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages and rich vegetation, where the pine trees dominate to the environment and reach to the sea. The road is quite good, the distances are very small so you can visit the beaches of Agistri quick and easy with a means of transport.
From Skala, going west, the coastal road leads, after 2 klm., to Megalochori or Milos, which has nice pebble beaches with sand, ideal for swimming.
Between Skala and Megalochori, there is Metochi, where you go, either from Skala or from Megalochori from the coastal road.
Metochi is a beautiful, fresh and picturesque village with panoramic view.
Metochi has beautiful traditional houses, many of tham with panoramic sea view. Also at Metochi there is the Church of the Dormition. Here you will find the family tavern of Parnasos, between the pine trees.
We follow the coastal road after Megalochori and turn right at the dirt road. After a few minutes we follow at the left a trail and we reach a small cove with two beautiful and isolated pebbled beaches, the location is named Bacho.
Following the coastal road and through a dense forest and magical scenery with blue waters and coves, we reach the picturesque, sandy beach of Dragonera. Dragonera consists of 2 beautiful, full of pines, pebbled beaches, the "Small Dragonera" and the "Big Dragonera". The distance between them is approximately 1000 meters. Big Dragonera is and organized beach with a canteen.
After Polemi location the road lead us to Limenaria, a traditional picturesque village, 4.5 klm from Megalochori with 105 persons population. Limenaria keeps intact their culture and traditions.
In Polemi location, before Limenaria location, is the old Church of Agia Varvara. Here you will find some wells.
500 meters from Limenaria there is the beautiful rocky and isolated beach of Mareza, with its deep blue, crystal-clear waters. It is a place to moore the boats.
From Limenaria and towards Aponiso, 1000 meters to the right, we follow the road to the beautiful location of Limni. Here we meet the Church of Agios Nikolaos. Here there are two old graves that is said to belong to pirates. Opposite the Church there is an old well made of stone.
200 meters from the Church there is Limni a very beautiful location full of pines which is worth visiting. It is close to Aponisos and it is also being called Lekani.
Limni (Lake) is a picturesque small wetland with its water being renewed from the sea.
Continuing the road lead us to an exotic location, the Aponisos, where the pines reach the beach. The unique combination of colors reminds you of exotic places, offering you a unique relaxation and calmness. In Aponisos we can admire the most beautiful sunset of Argosaronikos.
North the beach of Aponisos are located the isolated beaches of Magkiza and Bariama. A little further is located the island of Dorousa, a unique picturesque island that is worth visiting.
Agistri is a small island, without big altitudes. Visitors which take a liking to the hiking, can find beautiful routes, inside the magnificent and vast forest of the island.
Also it's worth traveling th island with your boat or with a rented boat. Agistri, with its unique beauty, the beautiful beaches and with the touristic infrastructure, attracts more visitors over the years.
