In Agistri there are beautiful natural ports, coves, sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages and rich vegetation, where the pine trees dominate to the environment and reach to the sea.
Skala is a big sandy
beach with golden sand and crystal-clear,
shallow waters. Its organized beach is
only 100 meters from the port and is located to the
north-east shore of the island. To the beach of Skala
there is a lot of people and especially many families,
because the waters are shallow and it is ideal for the
kids. To the left of Skala, 5 minutes walking, following
the coastal road, south-east, we reach to the rocky
beach of Skliri.
After a 500m. distance, through a dreamy journey,
we reach to a natural, with blue waters cove with pebbles
and crystal-clear waters, to the magical Chalikiada.
The access is not very easy. It needs a lot of attention
and is being done only by feet. The waters at the start
are shallow, but after 5 meters they become very deep.
Right of Skala, going west, the coastal
road leads, after 2 klm., to Megalochori or
Milos, which has a nice pebble beach with sand,
ideal for swimming. Megalochori is the capital and the
biggest settlement of the island.
Between Skala and Megalochori, there
is Metochi, where you go, either from
Skala or from Megalochori from the coastal road. Metochi
is a beautiful, fresh and picturesque village with panoramic
view.
Next, through a detour, we reach to the
picturesque and sandy beach of Dragonera,
which consists of Small Dragonera and Big Dragonera.
It has got crystal-clear, shallow waters and pine trees
that reach the sea. The access is easy and is being
done through the road.
The road continues to south, and after Polemi we
reach Limenaria and the picturesque
port of Mareza 200 meters from Limenaria.
Mareza is a rocky beach, smothered in green, with deep,
crysta-clear waters. Access is easy and by all means
of transportation.
After Limenaria we reach an exotic location
with the pines surrounding the beach of Aponisos.
The unique combination of colors reminds you of exotic
places, offering you a unique relaxation and calmness.
In Aponissos we can admire the most beautiful sunset
of Argosaronikos.
North the beach of Aponissos are located the isolated beaches of Magkiza and Bariama. A little further is located the island of Dorousa, a unique picturesque island that is worth visiting.
